Nickel Alloy 201 Sheets, Plates & Coils (UNS N02201) are dual certified wrought nickel grade products. It has separate carbon levels on its composition. The service of this alloy is limited up to the temperatures below 315 deg C. At higher temperatures this alloy may be affected by graphitization that leads to loss in desired mechanical properties.

Product description:
This grade is approved under the global standards and pressure design codes. This grade has a tendency to offer service in many mild environments such as hydrofluoric acid and alkalis. Nickel alloy performs well under the oxidizing conditions because of the formation of passive oxide formation and also be used in the reducing zones. It has excellent resistance in caustics that is based on the type of protection. In the applications above 600 deg F, Nickel Alloy 201 Sheets, Plates & Coils is the preferred grade. However, it has lower carbon amount. The resistance of nickel 201 alloys depends on the concentrations and temperatures.

These sheets, plates, and coils perform better in non-aerated acid solutions. The nickel alloy is known for its performance in acids, alkalis, and neutral salt solutions. However, it is not recommended for service in oxidizing salt solutions, here strong corrosion can take place.
Nickel Alloy 201 Sheets, Plates & Coils resist dry gases at nominal temperatures. These can be utilized in hydrogen chloride and dry chlorine gas up to 550 deg C. These are manufactured by both hot and cold forming process in order to retain desired properties.
